Another SAHFA Health Hub is on the drawing table for Kibara, in the region of Mwanza. A newly graduated nurse/midwife and his future wife will run it, selling drugs and medical supplies, but also giving health and nutrition advice and counsel on the correct use of drugs. The JamboMama! app will also be spread and serviced by the owner and manager from that health hub.
In Ilemela (also Mwanza area) our field team now concentrates on getting three health facilities connected for better referral and distribution of the patient case load. On request of the District Medical Council, they start with the very poor and neglected population using the most remote of the facilities, a little rural dispensary.
